I won my election with 5,662 votes. The 5th District *unlike other districts* vote. Turnout was 40.4%

Re: WHAT’S IN A NAME? It's been a very long work day and my mind is trying to shut down. Who is the Ron that #2 & #3 reference? Very, very few voters do any research on candidates at any level.

Re: WHAT’S IN A NAME? I can't recall, any councilmember who won an election, in their district, with over 2,000 votes. In a city of approximately 500,000, that is atrocious.

Re: WHAT’S IN A NAME? The Lowenthal name carries a lot of water...for good, or for bad. Sorry Jenny O, but a great many of LB area voters are dumbed down, for a variety of reasons. That's not to cast aspersions, but it is what it is. Still, the glaring problem is voter apathy, which is always evident when the final numbers come out...less than 20% voter turnout is pathetic. It's safe to assume that no matter who wins the 54th, it will mean more of the same.
