The District Weekly: WATERGATE’S JOHN DEAN STARS IN LB LIBRARY!

I couldn't go to the event, so it would have been nice to hear something about the content of the discussion. And, since it appears he had the time, perhaps you could have even got an interview with the "lying scoundrel convict". i would like to have read that article.

Intelligent minds can disagree, Ed. But my own sense is that Dean has been interviewed countless times already ("john dean new book nixon conservatives conscience" on Google produces over 200,000 hits).

While I'm always excited by conversion stories--Paul on the road to Damascus, GW Bush poised over a cocktail somewhere--I thought Daniel's brief observation of Dean's local visit was substantially different from the 100 or so other pieces I've read in which Dean is given the chance to talk about his book, his transformation and the well-publicized evils of the current Bush. Does Daniel need to add his voice to the chorus of people celebrating Dean's critique? Or is it possible Daniel actually offers a different perspective?

The Press-Telegram covered Dean's talk. The reporter, however, didn't mention Dean's mention of the P-T. Odd that.
