I'm a mother of 2 sons and 2 grandchildren. Therefore, I'm also concerned about sex offenders living in my neighborhood. But at the same time we also have to be reasonable. No one wants sex offenders in their neighborhoods. Nor do they even want them working anywhere near other people. I recently saw a news report on sex offenders working in hotels and driving buses. Some of the sex offenders had been working on their jobs for several years without any incidents. But after the reporter put their faces on TV and told their employer of the sex offender's past, they loss their jobs. My question is what are sex offenders going to do now that they do not have a way of legally making money to survive. When they had a job at least for those severals hours a day at work they were somewhat supervised. Now they don't have jobs to keep them occupied and focused on something else besides committing sexual acts on innocent people. Now they have all day to look for victims. I think it was a bad idea to expose the sex offenders if they were not committing any crimes. If you continue to harassed sex offenders and not allow them to make a living, I believe that they will commit again. You must give them the opportunity to redeem themselves. Yes keep an eye on them but give them space so that they can demonstrate that they can act like decent human beings. Stop being so paranoid. Where are they suppose to go and what are they suppose to do? Educate your children and keep them near you.
