Perhaps the resident, if he's the owner, should get a ticket for owning a sawed-off shotgun (are these illegal if registered?), but beyond that, the resident did nothing wrong. The perp made a burglary attempt and chose the wrong victim. He'd still be alive if he hadn't committed this crime in the first place.

Re: ROUNDUP, DAY 2: BURGLARY SUSPECT DIES IN POLICE CUSTODY | The District Weekly

I've actually heard that the justifiably deceased perp just might have stolen the sawed-off shotgun from the burglary victim. That would normally indicate an intended crime far more sinister than a res-burg.

It does concern me that the use of a Taser by LBPD officers has generally been omited from most stories about this incident. I totaly support the use of Tasers by law enforcement personnel but this omission gnaws at me. What gives?

On the bright side, as a LBPD Commander (now retired) used to tell me: "The trial was not lengthy".

Re: ROUNDUP, DAY 2: BURGLARY SUSPECT DIES IN POLICE CUSTODY | The District Weekly

And this is a problem why?
