My question -
Is the Queen Mary well built ?
Did California make money from it ?
Is California claiming that Prevatail skimmed from the top of the many proceeds and bought luxury items such as Condos and wrote them off as an expence ?
How is the Queen Mary doing today ?
Is California better or worse with or without that project ? Did Prevatail put any of his own time or money into it ?
Does the fact that you failed once or twice and had to file bankruptcy mean that you are a bad person or coropt ?
These are questions from a different perspective .

I'm from Corpus Christi and am doing some Googling on Prevratil. Sounds like a scam artist! I can't believe our City Council is so desperate that they will stoop to negotiating with someone with this kind of record. The Council has been criticized heavily by the citizens for not doing anything with this aging building on our bayfront - so it seems like they are going to jump at the first real offer they get. I hope they come to their senses.

Thanks! You know, the tone had the Music Man ring to it, but I gotta admit I've never seen that musical and I was thrown by the monorail bit. I should have known it was a Simpsons reference. Just about everything is. I still feel lame.

Dave, it's from the musical "The Music Man." The wikipedia article explains the plot very well. Read it, I think you'll see the parallels to the Prevatil story...

It would be asinine, for the City of Corpus Christi,TX., to give the contract to Leisure Horizons. I can't believe any city government would be so stupid. Then again, they are in the state that gave us George W. Bush.
