Foster parents in California get money to help care for the kids, and the kids get government services because they are wards of the state. That's why Angels in Waiting's foster parents were given state money and govt. services. All foster parents are.
Which is also why they need so much money to care for the octuplets. The mom wants to keep them. The sad thing is, they SHOULD be wards of the state because she obviously a narcissist and doesn't care a whit for those kids outside of the attention they get her. Then, Angels in Waiting could legitimately care for them as foster kids until they were adopted into families that would really love them.

I question the motives of Angels In Waiting. Are they offering care and services to further their mission as an altrustic gesture, or did they jump at what they see as an opportunity to make money at taxpayers expense?

Octomom should have to work regardless.. I too question the true motives for Angels in Waiting.. How is it that a mother who has more children than what the "norm" is considered and can get up on a daily basis and figure it out.. mind you with no assistants from anyone.. and this woman can get a free ride.. and all I keep hearing is its not the childrens fault however she should be made to get a job and contribute something...

There haven't been any donations thus far, as reported on CBS channel 2 news yesterday.
Judging by the angry majority of the 1100 plus comments on DR. Phil's message board there is not much hope of future donations, either.
Dr. Phil and his cohorts will not be able to shove this hoax down anyone's throats.

Angels in Waiting - just like every other two-bit shyster that's popped out of the woodwork since Nadya birthed her latest litter - is hoping to profit from the media frenzy around this nutcase.
Honestly, how many of you have ever heard of Angels in Waiting until they tried to capitalize on the media circus surrounding Nadya the Nutcase?
Don't be fooled. They're in it for the money and the free publicity - just like Dr. Phil, NBC, and RadarOnline.
Dr. Phil has another show planned for the Octomom on Monday, the 16th where octomom will answer questions from the audience. I noted this morning that the 1100 plus predominately negative messages he received on the 2 part show last week were pruned down to 306! What a fraud he is!

Here is some information on the 'hero' General Building Contractor Stan STANLEY ALLEN WHITAKER of WHITAKER GENERAL CONTRACTING INC. I looked up his license number (856739) at the LA Better Business Bureau and checked it out California State Contractors Board @ http://www.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLice...
According to the information this company provided to the California State Contractors Board this company does not pay Workers' Compensation because "This license is exempt from having workers compensation insurance; they certified that they have no employees at this time."
This means that legally Stan Whitaker can only perform the work himself or he is violating state laws.
On the radaronline octomom video I saw quite a few men constructing framework in that La Habra home and have to wonder if they are all Whitaker clones? Is all the work being done there permitted by the city?
This adds another dimension to the exploitational scheme by Dr. Phil, Angels in Waiting and Gloria Allred. Who else will climb on the octomom bandwagon next?

If those are his employees, he may be breaking the law. I'm not sure if its a statute, but I'm aware that quite a few places provide Workers Compensation Insurance for volunteer employees.

Why is it there is no specific site earmarked for donating to the octuplets at the Angels in Waiting website @http://angelsinwaitingusa.org/index.html?
It's been 4-5 days since Dr. Fullofit announced that the AIW would be caring for the babies and was seeking donations, BUT, as it stands now if you donate there it goes into a general fund, NOT to the octuplets.

Last evening, Dr. Phil, and Gloria Allred, stated any donation for the Suleman octuplets would be placed in a trust fund monitored by Judge Weinstein of Los Angeles County. Regardless, I believe it should be subjected to quarterly audits. Also, the general public should mindly keep an eye on whether anyone related to the care of the Suleman children applies for social services in Orange County.
