Huh? I have a copy of the PT right in front of me, and the headline reads “Woman crashes car, tries to buy six-pack.” The "boring" headline you're talking about is nowhere to be seen.

PT reader, I can't answer for the print edition, but they were using both headlines online as lately as this morning.

Now, however, they've changed the story online to use "Woman crashes car, tries to buy six-pack" on all references.

That's the good thing about the Internets--you can change stuff around. It's interesting to watch things change.

DW is the PT developmental league. It's sad that the 49er and Viking are the least corrupt publications in Long Beach. The District gave many people hope for honest journalism. Too bad you guys sold out before the revolution, which won't be televised or even covered by the PT.

Look at all the negative comments about the DW. You guys can think its PT employees writing them, if that makes you feel better. But face it, you guys have jumped the shark. You showed up on the scene strong, probably because you spent a year working on your first six months of stories. But now you have fizzled. I think your hatred of the PT has blinded you. You guys spend so much time worrying about them. Just do your own thing, be your own man! Your hatred of the PT has even led you to declare the LB Report "the city's most complete and accurate daily news outlet" I mean come on, that site is one of the most poorly written, inaccurate and biased site I've seen that purports to be a news site. You just look silly when you support the LBReport. Its so obvious to anyone that you think calling them "the city's most complete and accurate daily news outlet" is a slap at the PT. In reality, it make you look dumb for think they are accurate.
