Torpedo the rest of the city and let it sink. Ghetto housing downtown, deadsville on the Eastside and lil' Compton in Northtown? I can see Starbucks and Barnes and Noble or other chain stores if it was all once open fields and country side. But killing something that was already there? Hey, I think Joe Jost needs some "redeveloping."

Nowenthal next election!

Re: FROM LBPOST: WHAT’S TO BECOME OF PENNY, THE ACRES OF BOOKS CAT?

Language is a weapon. Language is a magic. We are clamping down on this by removing Acres of Books.

Like Robert Easton said "it really is a crime against the human soul".

Thanks Long Beach RDA.

(I didn't even graduate from college...and somebody handed you a diploma? Additionally, we'd have no replacement boat in the wings--if Boston officials are implying otherwise in regard to "Old Ironsides" we've yet to hear back, I assure you."
"We must take into account the entire port plan before making decisions involving just one element. We intend to work with the boat people far in advance of any departure to assure a seemless transition in any event. It must all be part of the package."
Councilwoman Suja Lowenthal refused comment on the story siting a potential conflict of interest although did confirm contacts in India were negotiating with her office in regard to the disposition of certain boat fixtures when the deal is sealed.
When contacted, Mayor Foster shot down the reports stating, "It would be a shame if the infrastructure bond doesn't pass, but the boat's fate is hardly sealed, yet."
Councilwoman Shipske also declined to be quoted for this piece but indicated she was in contact with various ethical expert authorities.

Re: FROM LBPOST: WHAT’S TO BECOME OF PENNY, THE ACRES OF BOOKS CAT?

You folks at The District have no idea how much we, at Acres, appreciate that (like family members) you have our back. I can speak for most of the employees when I say we are proud that we have a weekly that is fun, informative and most of all RELEVANT to our (once) great city. I heard a rumor that the RDA claimed eminent domain on the Queen Mary and will run it into India to sell it as scrap metal.

Re: FROM LBPOST: WHAT’S TO BECOME OF PENNY, THE ACRES OF BOOKS CAT?

"Penny will land on her feet, but all those responsible for the demise of Acres Of Books should be going to Hell."

Quoted for truth.

Re: FROM LBPOST: WHAT’S TO BECOME OF PENNY, THE ACRES OF BOOKS CAT?

Penny will land on her feet, but all those responsible for the demise of Acres Of Books should be going to Hell.
