Isn't craigslist a great way to communicate?......Watch Oprahs show today, it is about the horrific puppy mills......Tell all your friends......Program your DVR.
The department thinks Kristina Vet tech sent out her report and that guy Victor will probably been fired for the incident. The department now can say, "We reprimanded this employee" The person responsible is Wesley Moore. He hired Sgt (SP), who watched the dog being mishandled and did nothing. We are so disgusted. I think the city council would love to know that the shelter animals are without medical care with the absence of the vet techs, who are both gone. Here is another animal abuse/neglect story. Another animal suffered neglect and abuse in the euthanasia area. A cat was brought in 3/27/08 and "apparently" euthanized by Lt.Quig late afternoon. The Cat was said to be "suffering" by MQ, who is not a Veterinarian. She left the cat in the carrier with the impound card on top of the carrier. The card stated she killed this cat with some type of put to sleep medicine. The cat was found alive the next morning in the same carrier in the euthanasia area ( 6-7am) 4 different employees had seen the cat and the card on top of the carrier and told other employees about it. The cat was still alive and starving in the morning. It had a severe case of mange. The cat had suffered all night long with no food or water and a "irremediable" medical condition. The impound card is missing now. I wonder what happened to it. Poor cat. Maybe the cat was not suffering at all like the card said. Who is she to decide that. Is she a Veterinarian? No ? Why are animals put to death because she thinks they are sick or injured? She should be charged with animal cruelty. Why are employees at fault for cruelty and supervisors can get away with it. 4 + people seen this cat in this situation but do not want to speak up because they will be punished. Who actually euthanized this cat that morning after it was found? Wesley Moore? Did He do it and cover it up like everything else? I would not be surprised. Shame on you Wesley Moore!!! Ignore this issue like everything else. Please Mr. Report sender guy. Send this to your contacts. You really have some good ones! Lets see if they fire the person who impounded this cat to blame someone.
Disappointed and afraid of punishment at the Long Beach Animal Shelter
Yes a mistake was made, and he should be punished but don't piss on the shelter people, theses guys are dealing with stupid humans an they are doing a great job cleaning up after them.
Where the F is Bob Barker when you kneed him!!!!
How about another Noah's Arc ? oops
After working closely with groups like Noah's Ark for years, she turned on them and then tried to kill all the animals she took saying they were on death's door when they were seized. Thanks to a restraining order, most of them were allowed to avoid Quigley's killing needle and LBAC was pressured by the media exposure to do the right thing and find the animals homes. However, lots of them went missing and remain unaccounted for. Christine Culhno botched her testimony during the trial of Alex Kirkland and Gloria Ramos, and Lt. Elliott outright lied on the stand. But that wasn't a problem, Judge Jesse Rodriguez was already in on the deal so he let her perjure herself without any ramifications. Long Beach is one of the most corrupt cesspools in California!
Justin Rudd keeps trying to have it declared the most dog-friendly city (of course he wants to run for office) but Quigley's empire has one of the highest kill rates in Southern California. Thousands of animals pay the highest price for Quigley's maniacal need to kill.
While we're at it -- since LBAC isn't making money on adoptions because they barely do any, anyone know how they managed to make $70,000 two years ago? It's on the public documents...if you can get a copy...but the source of the revenue is mysteriously blank. Where is that profit coming from???? D & D Rendering most probably....so you can feed those dead dogs and cats back to your own pets! Or medical testing labs so they can be tortured in the name of safe cosmetics.
Madeline and her SPCALA crew are just as bad. First the citizens of Long Beach grant the land for Pitchford Village and now the SPCA CHARGES THE TAXPAYERS in the form of rent to LBAC for their space at Pitchford. PD Pitchford is none too happy that his name is on the place -- he knows what a hypocrite Madeline her team are! Also -- if the SPCA workers just can't be bothered to get an animal a home after 6 months, they are quietly dropped off at the Carson shelter who routinely violates the Hayden Act and kills animals in 3 days. But you probably hadn't heard about that. In cases like Hurricane Katrina rescue efforts, once the news cameras went home and SPCALA knew no one was looking, all those animals they were "helping" were transported to Carson and killed.
Oh -- and for all of you out there who lost an animal and were told by Quigley that your pet was found mortally injured or dead....yeah, that's a lie. Quigley continually pressured contract vets to put animals to sleep that she didn't like and routinely violated the Hayden Act herself which says that animals must be made comfortable and owners must be given 5 days to find their pet. Dr. Saleh knows the truth, but he's been threatened in person by Elliott to keep him from talking. Maybe now he'll be brave enough.
Here's an interesting case: A 6 month old chihuahua had been found with a broken leg. Quigley told a vet to kill it. The vet knew this wasn't necessary and found a rescue to take the dog and they even raised the money for it's surgery. During the surgery, Quigley happened to stop by the vet's office, realized that this was the dog she wanted dead and made the vet euthanize the puppy on the spot. Then she took the body with her. Can't have any of that incriminating evidence laying around.
Aren't you all glad you're paying for Lt. Michelle Quigley to run your animal care and control department? Now she's going to put in for a stress/disability claim so you all can continue paying her salary while she does less REAL work than she does now on your dime. You might want to work some overtime hours, you're going to be paying for Quigley with your tax dollars for a long, long time.
Way to go Long Beach!
All shelters have problems... but I'm not sure I've ever seen one that focuses so much on presenting a pretty picture to the public and so little on the animals. Time to clean house.

WOW!! I can't believe these disgruntled employees are airing all the dirty laundry on Craigslist. These are lazy, incompetent employees that had one foot out the door from day one. True, if management had more balls, he should've fired (Pill popping)Lt. long time ago to prevent all this s#$#t from hitting the fan. Too late its out in the public now. Unfortanatly you have some good people that really do care about animals working at LBAC and of course they will also be lumped in with the incompetant ones. Shame on you!! Pill popping, drunk ex Lt.Elliot Shame on you!!.
Concerned: I'm a bit confused by your comment but I have plenty of Diet Coke her thanks for looking out. You seem to go both ways, I'd be concerned too. Or at least somone with the upset group.
There was a humane way to handle this. Animal tranquilizer guns may be purchased for as little as 75.00. Animal Control officers receive weapons training so lack of skill is no excuse. The dog could have been fed a tranquilizer pill in a morsel of food as well, in order to subdue him. There is simply no excuse or justification for what was done to this dog.
I truly hope Local Rescue is right--that this crime will not just vanish--any meaningful investigation will need to be done by the State of California. The City of Long Beach will protect its own. I would love to be proven wrong on this point.
And "Interested", FYI, both Lieutenants are gay, only one looks like it. Many married staff do "co-mingle" thats how they keep their jobs. Someone should check the sick leave charts, you'd be supprised who is "really" calling in sick. I'm sure every employee picks up extra shifts due to the huge resignation rate, so blaming one injured person won't help as there are many. Watch the slander, I hope some of you at Long Beach Animal Control have legal representation, I know I would.

Re: Euthanasia Incident
Individuals Involved/Witness List: Victor Martinez, Edna Gonzales, Steve Peltier, Bobbie Ryan, Tonya Elliott, Stephanie Anderson.
This is a report of the incident that happened on 3/13/08, per Sgt. Linn’s request on 3/15/08. All information given in this report is the truth to the best of my knowledge.
My shift began at 8:00am on 3/13/08. The impound cards for euthanasia were being review and signed off by Sgt. Linn and Sgt. Peltier. Sgt. Linn reminded me of a dog that I had to sedate because it was too vicious to even get out of his vehicle. I remembered this dog well. I thought it to be one of the most vicious dogs that I have ever seen. He told me, “You should probably Telazol it in the cage”. I agreed and then headed over to the Euthanasia Room to prep it for a usually busy euthanasia day. Sgt. Peltier walked into the Euthanasia Room shortly after I did and told me, “Victor and Edna will be assisting you today with GK”. He told me “Victor is going to stay overtime from the graveyard shift”. I asked him, “Why” and he told me,” Dave and I are going in the field”. No mention to of anybody else helping. He handed me the stack of cards and I reviewed it, 15 dogs, several of them were marked “Caution”, one of them was the a dog Sgt. Linn and I had discussed earlier. Sgt. Peltier left the room. That was the first time I had a bad feeling about the situation. I thought that Edna was still under training and was not ready to be alone. Sgt. Peltier is her training officer, he would know if she is ready to be alone. Victor had a little more experience but, in my eyes, was not the proper person to be with her. I prepared extra sedative and was planning to sedate every dog that day. Victor and Edna arrived to assist a few minutes later. I told Victor about the dog that was too vicious for Dave and that we should Telazol him in the cage. Victor joked laughed and mentioned something to the fact that I was dealing with a pro and that “No worries”. He told me, “I can handle the dog”. I said, “Dave couldn’t even handle the dog”. I was putting the sedative on the syringe pole and Victor said, “Let me try to get him first”. I told him that he was not going to be able to get the dog and I needed to sedate the dog in the cage. Again, he insisted that he will try it first and if not then we can do it in the cage. He left the room with the rabies pole. I asked Edna, “You are still under training right?“ She said, “Yes”. Sgt. Peltier and Bobbie Ryan were outside the room prepping their truck and I knew I could ask for help if needed. I heard a struggle outside of the euthanasia room near the wash rack. I looked over toward the back door and saw Victor fighting and pulling with the dog on the rabies pole. The dog was covering in blood. He pulled the dog through the doorway. Multiple streams of blood were pouring out of his mouth and nose onto the floor. The dog was being pulled into in the room fighting, dripping blood from his mouth and nose and appeared to be having difficulty breathing. I looked up and seen Sgt. Peltier outside the door that Victor brought the dog into. Victor put the dog up next to the wall near the fire extinguisher. The dog was fighting and blood was flying everywhere. I noticed Bobbie Ryan trying to get away from the dog as Victor brought the dog into the building. She was standing still, not knowing where to go. I said, “Watch out girl!“ She backed away and moved out of the way. I told Victor to put the dog into the holding cage so I can sedate him. The noticed that the dog was turning blue. The dog was flipping around and fighting so much that my syringe needle bent and I had to replace it before administering the drug. I lost my footing on a pool of blood as I walked across the room. I administered the drug and the dog was put the dog in the holding cage. Blood was smeared and pooled everywhere. It was on the floors, walls, doors, cabinets, cages, and it dripped on the ground all the way from the dogs cage to the outside of the euthanasia room. Victor had blood on him and I had blood smeared on my hands and shoes. The huge amount of pools of blood on the floor began to clot. I said, “That is why I wanted to sedate him in the cage”. I told him that we can all be fired for this and that this is wrong is so many ways. I told Victor that we need to clean all this blood up before we get into trouble. He told me that we can do it when we are finished with all the dogs so we didn’t have to do it twice. I told him that someone is going to slip and fall and that we should clean it up before the next dog. I began to wipe some of it up with a towel and realized that there was too much and we needed to hose it. I stepped away for a minute to fill out the drug log and then Bobbie Ryan walked back into the room to get a duck that was in a cage very close to the sedated dog. I warned her not to slip and told her that the duck had been in the carrier all night and smells horrible and that she might want to switch carriers. She walked through the blood to get another carrier outside behind the euth room. As she came back into the room, Officer Peltier quickly followed her inside the euthanasia room and stepped through the blood on the floor. He asked, “What’s the hold up?” Bobbie explained that the carrier smelled and I told her to get another one. He told her that she now tracked in the blood twice and make the mess worse. He said, “Whatever, come on!” Bobbie had a confused shocked look on her face and was obviously upset. I followed them out the door and got the hose from the wash rack to clean the blood. Edna Gonzales was still in the room, watching things unfold, unsure what to do. Victor returned with another dog as soon as I started hosing the room. He asked me, “What are you doing?”. I told him, “what just went on here was not right and that if someone had seen this we would all be in trouble or fired.” He was shocked and said, “Really!” Edna remained silent. I again told the both of them that I have sedative for this very reason. I told them “Things can happen, but this is pretty bad, how this would look to the SPCA or people driving on the road outside the room, not to mention that it is wrong”. Victor said “Sorry” and tied the dog that he had to something and took the hose from me and begin cleaning. I started wiping up the blood on the other end of the room near the back door and wash rack. I realized that the whole area needed to be hosed and cleaned up better after we were done. Shortly after this first episode, we had another very aggressive dog. The dog was brought into the euthanasia room with no problem and sedated. There were about 3-4 dogs laying on the floor and I asked Victor to help me lift some of these dogs to get them off the floor. He asked me if I “hit” all of them. I told him, “no, not all of them”. I was drawing up euthanasia solution for a Shar Pei that was on the floor. I noticed Victor picking the dog up. I thought he was going to put him on the table, but he placed him into the bottom of the barrel. I said, “ I having done that dog yet”. He said, “You didn’t?“ I yelled, “No”. I looked in the barrel and the dog was heavily sedated and his breathing was very shallow. I euthanized him in the barrel and asked them not to put any other dogs in the barrel right now. Edna was looking at me and I just shook my head. By this time I was very frustrated with the whole situation. We continued with the dogs, sedating any animal that might possibly be a problem for the two of them to handle. It was taking a long time and I didn’t realize that the shelter was open or about to open. I do not recall the time. Tonya Elliott opened the front door and peaked in and asked, “What happened out here?” Confused, I walked over to the door as she opened it wider and was horrified. Blood and large blood clots had been pushed underneath the door and onto the ground outside the building. Tonya said, “You need to clean this up right now!” “The public can see this, we seen this walking down the sidewalk.” Then I noticed Stephanie Anderson standing there with her mouth wide open. Tonya asked, “What happened?” I was embarrassed and told her “Later.” She told me Stephanie had clipper blades and stuff for me. I pointed to the back near the wash rack to get Stephanie away from the door. Victor begin cleaning the blood and I walked to the back near the wash rack, forgetting about all the blood back there. I was embarrassed and frustrated by everything, so I quickly brushed them off and walked back into the euthanasia room. I realized at that time that this would never happen again. I was not upset with Victor or Edna because I knew neither of them had the proper training and were not qualified to handle very aggressive animals. I was more upset that my supervisor(s) had put myself and my co-workers at risk of injury and that no animal deserves handled in this manner, no matter how vicious it is. Upset and angry, I knew I needed to report this to my supervisor. Sgt. Linn came in from the field late afternoon and I briefly told him that euthanasia was horrible. I briefly told him about the dog he wanted me to sedate. He asked me why I didn’t sedate the dog in the cage. “No matter what Victor told you.” I agreed with him and told him that I should of just demanded more and should of followed him out to the kennel. I told him that Steve was outside and he could help if I Victor and Edna had issues. We both were busy so the conversation was brief. It was after 5:00pm and Officer Peltier walked into the euthanasia room. We had a personal conversation, unrelated to the incident. I then decided to tell him my concerns since he was the person who told me who my assistants would be and I knew he was outside when everything happened. He also was inside after the incident and I knew he was aware of the struggle. I told him, “I don’t ever want to be put in that situation again.” I asked him “why and who decided that these two people would be able to handle these 15 dogs, most of them were “Cautions”. “You two signed the cards and must have been aware of the situation”. He reminded me of out current staffing shortage and that if he didn’t have to go in the field that he would of helped out. I was still really confused but felt a little better that I addressed my concerns to him. I still was unclear about who my supervisor is and ever was. It changes depending on the situation. I have a legal and moral obligation as a Registered Veterinary Technician to report incidents that are wrong/inhumane/illegal/etc. I realize that I am suppose to report this problem and incident to the very governing agency for whom I work for. The next day I pulled Edna aside in private and told her, “What happened yesterday was wrong and should never happen again.” I said, “I know your new and under training and I could see the shock in your face”. I told her, “ I don’t want you to think that this is normal and this is the way things are suppose to be”. I also told her, “I hope that if you ever see this again, that you will report it to your supervisor.” I told her that I was aware that her training supervisor was there and that I know it seems confusing but I just wanted to let her know that it was wrong. She said, “O.K” . I was on the verge of tears and was more upset that I had to explain this to her. At that moment, Victor Martinez entered the room and apologized for things that happened yesterday. He told me that he had been talked to and was told not to handle a dog on a pole like that ever again. He apologized again and then told me that Edna and him were assisting with euthanasia again today. I thought he was joking. We have a pretty good working relationship so I laughed and said, “Yeah, right!“ I didn’t believe him and brushed him off. He assured me that yes indeed, they were told to assist. I was shocked and silent. Edna and I began heading back to the euthanasia room. I told her, “I can’t believe this, I can’t believe you two are helping again after what I told them!” “No offense” I said. She just smiled and was quiet. There were fewer animals to euthanize and everything went well.

Long Beach Animal Control
Wow lots of bashing and threats being thrown. Keep in mind the real issue at hand and forget the other crap it's just a bunch of un related crap.
Rachel... I'm not a fan of horses so you don't know me. You must have me confused with some other fit throwing child. Peace
How long have you worked there?
What took you so long to speak up?
Why did you wait for it to get this bad before you said something?
Could you not get another job?
You hide behind the news so they can't touch you now becouse you broke the story. That is a coward and now the people named will be fired or written up and everything else that comes from this will be on your back. I hope you can find Victor a job and every one else that gets fired from this.
If you have something to say to me or if you just want to post a comment that you think might draw attention away from the real problem, go ahead. I would rather have you stop by my house. My address is posted on the VMB's website. I would rather have you verbally attack me in person.
You are also taking away from the problem by posting you own problems. It has become a b@@ch session here and you also are doing it and now once again want it all to go away from you by saying stop by my house to take it off you. You are crying like a little kid and your last comment to shut it down how is that going to help the animals? We are here for the animals not you or anyone else's problems or vendetta's. Animals first and a permit I am sure some dumb paperwork can be done on someone's time not while the animals suffer. Once again crying to get your way.
Do you still work for the place that you hate so much or do you have a new job becouse as a tax payer I sure don't want to pay you while you sit on your a@@ and collect a check. If the place is that bad leave and get a job and follow up to make sure the changes happen.

Before continuing with last Thursday’s proceedings in the Noah’s Ark Animal Rescue felony animal-cruelty trial, Long Beach Superior Court Judge Jesse Rodriguez told the jury about new revelations regarding the medical and treatment records of the nearly 300 animals seized from the shelter during a raid last year.
Deputy District Attorney Mark Burnley and Attorney Todd Krauss — representing former Noah’s Ark owner Alexiea Tiraki-Kyrklund and her volunteer Gloria Ramos — discussed the new findings with Rodriguez at a special hearing Thursday morning.
According to both attorneys, the copies of medical and treatment records given to them by Long Beach Animal Control lacked information that the original records contained (such as medications given, microchip numbers and kennel locations). In addition, they discovered that the original records had been added to and changed since the copies were handed over to the attorneys.
Finding it to be a violation of the discovery process statutes of the California Penal Code 1054, Rodriguez gave Krauss the option of either considering a mistrial or continuing the case with a special instruction to the jury.
“The court is very disappointed about it,” Rodriguez said. “I don’t understand how this happened, I just don’t.”
After discussing the options with Tiraki-Kyrklund and Ramos, Krauss chose to continue the trial on the conditions that the jury be instructed of the new findings and that he have more leeway during the trial’s closing statements.
“We knew that the truth would only come out in trial, so mistrial was not an option,” Tiraki-Kyrklund said.
Burnley said he cannot comment on the case during the duration of the trial.
Last year, animal control officers raided Noah’s Ark — then located at 1333 Redondo Ave. — and seized nearly 300 dogs and cats, claiming the animals were living in unsanitary conditions. Both defendants were charged with 13 felony counts of animal cruelty, and Tiraki-Kyrklund also was charged with two misdemeanor city ordinance counts. Each animal cruelty charge carries a maximum sentence of three years in prison.
Once the jury was brought up to date on the matter Thursday afternoon, the trial continued with Krauss’s cross-examination of Christine Culhno, a registered veterinary technician for Long Beach Animal Control who examined all 299 cats and dogs taken from Noah’s Ark on Aug. 23, 2006.
Krauss questioned the validity of Culhno’s previous testimony (on Wednesday) that many of the animals seized were severely sick, with ear infections and matted fur — among other health problems — pointing out that she is not officially qualified to make any medical diagnoses.
He asked her why a number of the animals taken from Noah’s Ark got sick after the raid, during their stay at the animal control facilities, and why some took months to get better, despite the pristine environment at animal control. She explained that incubation periods for some illnesses and infections can vary from animal to animal, and that it is not uncommon for animals at times to get sick while at animal control.
Culhno said she still believes it was better to submit the animals to the stress of being moved out of Noah’s Ark rather than leaving them at the shelter.
“I believe they needed to be in a different environment to get better from the disease or to prevent the disease from becoming worse,” she said.
During questioning, Culhno said she had no personal knowledge of when any of the animals arrived at Noah’s Ark, under what health conditions they were brought there, what medical treatment they received at the shelter, or whether Tiraki-Kyrklund and Ramos gave any care and attention to the animals at Noah’s Ark.
During the trial, Krauss also showed the jury medical treatment records and impound cards for numerous dogs and cats showing that many of the animals taken from Noah’s Ark were then given the same medications and treatment (or no treatment at all) despite having different types of ailments. Culhno said she did not prescribe any of the medications (she is not qualified to do so), and instead treated the animals using prescriptions given by another veterinarian at animal control.
The Noah’s Ark trial continued Friday and will resume on Monday, Nov. 26, at Long Beach Superior Court.
Is this a person to trust????
She is to be commended for bringing the dog killing incident to light.
Rott in HELL Quigley!
The seams of Long Beach's little world are coming apart, read on! BTW anyone think Pnina Gerston didn't make a deal with the devil NOW? She turned on Alex and got in bed with Quigley. I question her judgement even more now after this article.
Ned's Animal Shelter
Elliott -- you never had the balls to do what she's done -- maybe now you'll sack up...but unless you can admit that you've been part of the problem and can show how Quigley was out to get you, I got no respect for you my friend. How many dog and cat carcasses do you need piled up on your doorstep before you'll finally grow a set?
Christine, why don't you contact the Noah's Ark Attorneys and let them know how you were pressured to testify with lies. Elliott doesn't have the balls to admit that either.
BTW -- don't waste your time with Ron Arias -- he's a tool. You all need to be talking with the California Attorney General's office. Ask Quigley for her contact there -- she's got someone she's been feeding lies to for months, it will be eye-opening when they find out they were led so far astray by a total mental case.
Someone also needs to take Quigley up on charges of animal cruelty and ensure that she never has contact with any kind of animal ever again...she just enjoys killing them too much. BTW -- Christine -- don't let Quigely get hold of your home address unless you're going to have round the clock police protection. I'm not kidding! Ask Gloria Ramos. Quigley is a f***in nut case, and you all are paying her a real nice salary. Time to put an end to the gravy train.
Thanks Heather for bringing the truth out! It needs to be broadcast even bigger and there's more skeletons hiding in the closet for you. You should contact Alex Kirkland -- she has some details you'd really enjoy!
I hereby apologize for my wife's recent delivery of a 10 pound Himilayan. His name is Puma, and we looooooooooooooove him.
Scrabble anyone? I hate it but love the way it smells.
You must be in bed with Culhno to once again try and take the light off of her or are you her posting as someone else? She sure can't seem to answer any of my questions can she. Hide under that rock you built up and yes we all know she is the whistle blower and is hiding behind that of course. You are making it out like she did nothing wrong she should have taken charge and handled it better. The problem is on her and her lack of taking charge. You goggle her name and more than one thing comes up she has been on alot of articles and there always seems to be some question of what happened or how it was handled. If it was that bad and she was worried about a piece of paper then get a new job. When you sit there and let it happen intell shit hits the fan you are no better than the people you are blaming and I do believe you hold all the responsibilty of what heppened. You can say they should have had someone better trained for what to make your job easy? Stand up and say I messed up and don't blame other people as a tax payer I don't want to pay for someone higher up to take a dog from one room to the other give me a god dam break that is what the as they say one had some training and the other was in training work with what you have or leave and shut the hell up.
Clean house as for me being Quigley I am not sure who that is but I bet you worked for them and got fired or written up and now are jumping in on the band wagon becouse someone is picking on you buddy or you are her once again hiding and want to slam her now. why did you wait for a blog why not stand up and tell her if you are that big. You hide with a fake name on a blog at the end when alot has already been said. Once again I am a tax payer paying your salary if you work there so I will say what ever I want. Welcome to the USA DUMBASS.
Wesley's gone but it really should have been Michelle Quigley that was ousted. Animal Control has gone down hill every since Michelle became a lieutenant. And her position is really a Senior Officer, but she wanted to be like the SPCA, so she made herself a Lieutenant.
If Wesley had followed in the footsteps of his successor(Roger Hatakeyama) Animal Control would still be a well respected organization.
Through bad judgements, vendictiveness, and threats Michelle has drug Wesley and animal control down to nothing.
People get tired of being threatened with insubordination and other disciplinary actions. Things were so bad that Michelle had gotten to the point were if you had a problem and you didn't like the way she handled it, she told employees they couldn't go to Wesley for a second opinion because she would write them up.
Employees keep leaving because Michelle is a hard person to work with. What she does is for the good of Michelle, not the good of Animal Control.
Take a survey of all the employees that no longer work at Animal Control and you'll find that they left because of the bad treatment employees recieved at the hands of Michelle Quigley and Tonyan Elliott, before Tonya became one of Michelle's targets. hahahahaha.
They had to dumb down the position. If you are so great why did you not get the job? I bet it was some once again a thing that was sweep under the carpet. You all make me laugh you will push people under the bus but one thing is he was only as good as the people under him and it can't just be one or two people that make a place run so crappy. He should have cleaned house with all you cry baby's and started fresh. I bet he had a few that worked for him and not against him. The ones on the bottom are always the cry baby's becouse they are where they belong at the bottom and cry becouse they have to work and always want a change to make there lives easy. Lets see in about 6 months you will all cry about something new and put the blame on someone new becouse you are a loser and will always be a loser. If you are that great go in and demand that you get his job becouse you are so great and don't cry and say crap if you don't get it shut up and deal with it or move on and do something else. I am sure there are alot of people that need jobs and are willing to go the extra mile for the animals and not just cry about things. If this is about the animals then shut up and make it your goal to make things better with who and what you have. I have read all the posts and sounds like a bunch of crap stand up and say I will make this place better and go the extra mile don't just sit in the corner and cry a river and point fingers.
"I fully agree with Christine as for the incident. They dumped ill trained and virtually untrained people to assit her in doing a job that definately requires years of experience to accomplish correctly."
It takes years of experiance to take a dog from one room to the other. What the hell has this world came to a bunch of pussy's. If she would have as she said followed him and sedate the dog in the cage. This would not be a issue. She did not take control and do her job and is dumping it now on everyone else.
What was the dog bleeding from? I had a dog loose a tooth once and thought he was dying becouse of all the blood that was comming out and he was fine just lost a tooth..
You all act like you know who is posting what. If you know who it is what are you going to do about it nothing I am sure besides bitch some more. You have all said things and hide behind fake names. Shut up and deal with it.
I am fully aware of who is defaming the good character of some of these employees, these issues will be legally addressed as well. This IS what ocurres on a daily basis in the life at Long Beach Animal Control.
Please shut the hell up you don't have crap and can't do crap anyways it is all opinions and rumers can't do shit for that DUMBASS
If we are hear for the animals start by helping them and focus on them and SHUT THE HELL UP.
How about the guy that got let go or left what about his family? Is she better than him?
My soft side she is trying to make a right and put blame on the other people that where not there. It was a bad day and they tryed to cover it up and not go for help right away that is my problem and she wrote that.
"I told him that we can all be fired for this and that this is wrong is so many ways. I told Victor that we need to clean all this blood up before we get into trouble"
It happened move on and make sure it does not happen again. I am sure there will be a few fall guys for the whole thing and then back to normal like always and some lives will be changed for a dog that was on his was to be put down anyway. You learn from your mistakes and don't be so quick to put blame on others. No dog should suffer but familys should not be ruined also becouse of this. Come with a solution not a problem and don't say that no one would help either you did not go high enough to solve it you hide and went the easy route and have them do the dirty work.
What positive has she wrote about other people besides throwing them under the bus?
Trust me I do care I have been there and gotten a animal from there but see no reason why this has gone so far for what. I think they should all write who they think should be fired and how to fix it. Come with a solution and not a vendetta and don't say anyone would be better than this or that person. If you are so great or have someone that is. Stand up and take charge or get them to. I don't deal with unions or I would take charge and clean house all the cry baby's gone first becouse they are always the dead weight and the ones they hate keep them becouse most people hate the ones that are doing the right thing even if they don't think so that is why they have the jobs under them and did not get that job..
TELETUBBIES if you don't think they where creepy then you got a huge problem and he was the gay one.
Here's how this will most likely play out: There will be wrist-slappings and stern finger-shakings all the way around; there will be investigations that go nowhere; one or two heads may roll; felony charges may be filed--they will then be reduced to misdemeanor(s) or dropped entirely; it will be business as usual at LBAC. The unspeakable act of cruelty to the dog will go unpunished.
Or whoever you really are. Give it up with the taxpayer BS you obviously work there. Your obviously involved and are trying to save your own ass. "he was only as good as the people under him", no s*#t nobody was under him cuz had no sack and let Timmy run the show. I think you need to lay off the burgers and fries cuz it is cutting off the oxygen to your brain. QUIGLEY HAS GOT TO GO! For now she stays with Roger watching over. Hopefully all the investigators will listen to the employees and do the right thing for LBAC..FIRE QUIGLEY!. We have been calling to have our voices heard for years now. Our time has come and I'm gonna run with it. Believe me they will dig into everything now and you know if you kick over enough rocks somethings bound to turn up.
Think what you want and try and figure it out but I go to work and enjoy my job. I would not work for a city or a union. It might be hard for your little mind to figure it out but with all these posts it was not hard to goggle all the names and follow the pattern and Yes I have a brain and can make up my own mind and don't need someone to tell me what to believe and not believe. All of the people that work there blasted each other at the beginning and named names and just follow the trail and state what I see and believe.
Why don't you all figure a way to work with what you have and SHUT UP AND STOP CRYING AND HELP THE ANIMALS. If they are first then get to work and help them. If you have investigators that is a step in the right direction and they hopefully will trim the fat and get rid of the cry baby's and help the place move forward not backward.
ps I don't eat burgers and fries LOSER
If you really don't work there why are so interested in what is going on. And anyone who is anti UNION is anti AMERICAN. Are you even legal? I think you should shut the hell up and let us figure this one out. Since we are the ones that work there. Stick to your job flippin burgers and we'll handle this.
right on the money!
I couldn' posted my comment under the article that talked about the comments made by the City Manager, so I had to post them here.
Ron Arias and Michael Johnson have been sweeping stuff under the carpet for so long it not even funny. They won't admit it but they've gotten lots of complaints about Michelle, and Tonya for that matter, but they have chosen to do nothing. Well this time instead of getting rid of the obvious problem they got rid of Wes. Hmmmmm....... are Ron and Michael also lacking the balls to stand up to Michelle.
Animal Control has had some really GOOD Officers, but they were run off by Michelle's threats, and constant badgering. I wonder how well she we do now that Roger's coming back. Roger and Mark Carey never took any crap from Michelle. They kept her in her place. She's always wanted to be in charge and once Roger left she had a clear shot at the management prize. She led Wes around by the balls and he never even so the end coming.
While he was crying in his beer on Monday night with Michelle, she was laughing behind his back, because she got what she wanted which was Wes gone. Ahhhhhh.... but she didn't count on them bring Roger back.
As long as Michelle S. Quigley is in any kind of Authoritative position at Animal Control things won't be right. Oh she's smiling for the camera and acting all concerned for Wes, the animals and the employees but Michelle is an uncaring, bitchey, meanspirted spitful, backstabbing person.
She will once again make Animal Control and the City of Long Beach look stupid.
I will never forget the bird incident.
MIchelle's a good talker, she convinced Wes, Mr. Shannon, Mr Arias, Mr Johnson, and even police officers and the rest of the city bigwigs, that Mr Southwick owned a bird sold by the SPCA.
All the people above and others put their words on the line about how positive they were that this man was the birds owner. All because Michelle said so.
Guess what!!!!!!!!!? They all ended up with bird poop on their faces. The subject quickly became taboo and the employees were threatened with disciplinary action if they every mentioned that incident again.
Wes told an employee if she didn't like the way they handled the Bird issue she could quit. Michelle even changed the adoption policy for employees given her control over who could and could not adopt an animal.
Michelle is no more than a school yard Bully. I certainly hope that Mr West can presuade Mr. Arias and Mr. Johnson out of the ideal that Michelle Quigley should have any kind of Authority, Wes is gone, send Michelle packing too.
Bring in someone who can manage and run that organization like it should be run. Michelle has hired lots of her friends and they have all quit because they can't work with her.
Well, she does have one friend left there. She works as a clerk making an officer's salary(check out for yourself) and was promised by Michelle that she would never have to work weekends and she doesn't. Wow....if I were her friend that would be enough to keep me there too. Everybody needs one alia.
Wes should have stood up more indefense of the employee. When you have a good supportive Management Team you have happy employees. When you have Michelle Quigley, you have unhappy, disgruntled, looking for a new job employees. Since Wes and Michelle have been in charge of running the daily operations of animal control, the employee turnover rate is higher than it's every been in the history of Animal Control, check it out.
Michelle Quigley is the problem. Getting Rid of Wes was not the solution.
http://thedistrictweekly.com/daily/writing-shot...
The sh&t storm is here people. Heads are rolling. We have to thank the formal disgruntled employees for that. THANKS!! A New begining on the horizon a breath of fresh air. It was a matter of time before this house of cards buckled. Anyone working at LBAC saw it coming.
The only thing that sucks about this is the way these disgruntled ex employees just threw each other under the bus to save their own asses.
Culhno has no one to blame but herself in the way she handled that day in the euthanasia room. Blaming management for her incompetence is not an excuse. She was assisted by an Animal Control Officer w/ at least 1 1/2 years of experience, this was no rookie. You mean to tell me that he was "inexperienced" to move a vicious dog from one room to another when he had been working the field dealing w/ vicious dogs all by himself for over 1 year??. That makes no sense, unless you hold on to that as an excuse to victimize yourself. The Vet Tech is in charge of that day's euthanasia plain and simple and a mistake was made. True the ACO used poor judgement in handling that animal, but I don't believe it was as bad as they made this seem I don't believe that SP is going to go into the room and not question a blood bath and just walk over "pools of clotting blood". That's bullsh%$t. Believe me if it was as bad as she described it Elliot would have taken pictures w/ her camera cell phone that she always carried on her hip (not one picture of any blood trails or pools) and made sure that dog carcass be tagged and held in the freezer for more pictures of the "bloody dog" too make this an even bigger story. Think about it folks.
Well there you have it, I hope you gals can sleep at night. I know poor Vic won't. Happy job hunting.
And anyone who is anti UNION is anti AMERICAN. Are you even legal?
You have to be a stupid ass for that comment. I am 100% red, white and blue and will die that way. I have and will do anything for the US so kiss my ass. Union's
I have watched a union hurt many family's becouse a few pieces of shit wanted to not work as hard and and not have to work overtime and started shit like this and they all went on strike and the ones who worked there for years and made a great living from it stood behind ther union and the place sold and they did not bring back the union so all the people that stood behind it had to look for new jobs and a new way to live and the union just left and told them they would try and get them money later and nothing ever happened. So shut the HELL UP unions are a small part of this world and they think everything goes around them. Guess what many of us work and do just fine without one. We stand up for ourselves. Legal are kidding me have you looked around you are in Cali shut up.
I think you should shut the hell up and let us figure this one out. Since we are the ones that work there.
You are all posting on the net and I need to shut up. You are not doing shit but bitching and having someone be the fall guy for a few lazy ass people that want a easy job and not work or have a vendetta. We work there who pays you to work there and this is the US. So kiss my ass you little girl.
I am going to go out just for you and the next couple of days make you weeks pay So SUCK IT
It appears I hit a nerve? Since your paying my salary...can I get a raise? Didn't think so. You have no clue what you a paying for. I've heard that one so many times I need the china airlines barf bag too. Look plain and simple we just want to work in a unhostile work environment. WE HAVE THE RIGHT! So we are going to do and have been doing whatever it takes to get the message out about what is really going on at LBAC. Now given that little piece of information, Do you really have anything more to spew your mouth off about? I think not. But I'm sure you will have something to say. Oh, by the way since you are so intersted in what is going on at LBAC I encourgage you to come in and fill out an application as you may have heard we are in desparate need of some good people. :)
Wonderdog, give Ned's a rest. All the people that cared about the outcome of Alexia and Gloria's cases have departed that fine establishment. You should, too.
almost at 10 posts
you could try whatisyourpoint2 if oldjimbosspaceship isn't your cup of tea. at whatisyourpoint2 aspoiledprincess has posted. check it out.
Oh yes, there is a huge karmic debt to be paid for all the lies and deceit, and the pain that you've caused so many Michelle Quigley. Crooked public officials paid by the citizens to protect the citizens (and their property) who abuse the publics trust are some of the lowest scum there is. -Enough of the hypocrisy and lies the wheels of justice might turn slow, but the momentum is unstoppable.
In the meantime, please please please, keep your mind on the animals as much as is humanly possible. I hope that everyone working there tries their absolute best to look for solutions and foster cooperation, rather than division. You guys are their voices. You guys are their only hope.
well said
Tonya Elliott,Christine Culhno and and there stupid little people under them doing there dirty work.
Probably kicking back with the feet up drinking a beer and watching the show :)
Sure quiets the psychos, when you post that.....hahaha
Dog : I didn't get to sleep on the couch. I didn't get to go on a walk in the park, You are still going to inject me with Fatal plus, right?
Veterinarian, Shelter worker, breeder, John Q Public: Yep
Dog: But it's not my fault
Veterinarian, Shelter worker, breeder, John Q Public:
I know, but it's not MY fault, its the OTHER GUY.
Dog: How does that help me? I am still going to die.
Good Luck
http://www.williamson-krauss.com/index.html. Hey catlvr, if this is not the right link, please correct....
Also, don't know if you noticed the economy lately -- jobs aren't exactly a dime a dozen for everyone. I give the people who have endured the reign of Quigley a lot of credit. I give Cuhlno A LOT of credit. Elliott -- you not so much. You were part of Quigley intimidation team and were trying to manipulate Quigley for Moore's job yourself. It's good that you finally decided to come clean, but the reason seems a bit different than Cuhlno's or the other folks in the trenches.
Sorry truth of the matter -- the "you're not slaves" argument doesn't hold for me.
I'm sorry "Doesn't Hold Water" that you're such a pessimist, in reality a lot of people endure terrible situations because it protects the innocent and those without a voice. This is one of those cases I think.
In the meantime, if it's so easy to get a job why don't you do a little experiment and get one...you don't have to take all those job offers that roll in. The only requirement is that you list your current employer as LBAC. You MIGHT be able to get a job at Carson, or maybe Devore (where just recently and AC officer kicked a dog to death) -- but no respectable agency wants to hire someone from LBAC....ask Elliott.
One very AMPLE resource folks is Senator Lowenthal's office in Sacramento. Write to his office or call and ask for an investigation from his level. The "I'll cover your ass if you cover mine" city folks aren't EVER going to really look into this -- they need it to go away FAST so they can get those big Federal grants they're applying for.
The following appeal to Senator Alan Lowenthal was flagged from Craigslist:
Lt. Michelle Quigley has run her department as a horrible tyrannical fiefdom but recent incidents have pushed employees to become emboldened enough to speak out. Apparently the local union has been stonewalled for years and compliants to Ron Arias, head of the governing agency, have gone unaddressed for YEARS. Last week, the head of Animal Control, Wesley Moore was forced to resign. Lt. Quigley was promoted to his position. This is ludicrous. The city says it will investigate the problems, but since Lt. Quigley was part of the problem -- how can they really do an investigation that gets to the heart of the problem? Senator Lowenthal PLEASE open up your own investigation into this out of control agency within your district. Long Beach Animal Control's "shelter" has one of the highest kill rates in Southern California. Lt. Quigley has been on a crusade to get rid of local rescues rather than work with them, she would rather sell shelter animals to local
testing labs or kill them and sell them by the pound to D & D Rendering. Strikingly, the citizens of Long Beach voted for a No-kill shelter over 3 years ago. Yet the kill rate continues to climb. The local breeding ban was over-turned by the City Council -- against the wishes of the people -- when Eukanuba wanted to bring the Dog Show to Long Beach. So Long Beach city government encourages irresponsible breeding and holds up the other end of their deal with irresponsible kill rates. Please, read the full story at The District: http://thedistrictweekly.com/daily/writing-shot... and the follow up story here: http://thedistrictweekly.com/daily/writing-shot... Please, weed your way through the comments. Many employees who -- rightly so -- fear retaliation have posted under assumed names. WE NEED YOUR HELP! The city will not do a real investigation of this problem, they'll just white wash the incident. This is a festering cancer and they want to use neosporin and band aids to deal with it! We need YOUR help. We need an independent investigation with full disclosure of its findings to the general public. PLEASE help us make the Long Beach shelter a safe place for animals not a killing field! Location: Long Beach
As for your kitty? I would say Q probably killed your cat. The kill rate for kitties at LBAC is 80% from last reports.
Karmic Cookie says: Every step is opportunity to choosecan a right turns or a wrong. Stay on your path, and try not to impede, others may stay theirs. Now eat your Karmic Cookie, it must last you a while. Remember, you never really knows who’s been chosen to be out there, looking into our darkness and having been given the decision to leave us with choices, or to just throw us another life altering Karmic Cookie lesson next Tuesday++++
(Ruff, ruff?) Yes Girl, don’t worry, Timmy can still eat his cookie in the dark, all alone. And he can still find more lessons, if he chooses to listen. (Howwwlllllll) you bet’cha Girl, even if your right in the middle of a clever a cover up!!
(Ruff, ruff) Lassies epilogue: Somewhere, we’re all out there, some beneath boards and brush. listen, just listen, you can hear a small “crunch.” Would it be fair to say, that's the way the Karmic Cookie crumbles. (Ruff, ruff)

The City Manager of Long Beach admitted to the press that the shelter did not have a Veterinary Premise Permit. In this same article, Pat West also said that as of 4/7/08 Loren Eslinger is the Veterinarian for the facility. Why is it that Dr. Karen Halligan-SPCA LA Veterinarian applied last week to be the premise Vet for Long Beach Animal Shelter? Let's now look at 2nd District Weekly article. Pat West stated that Dr. Eslinger is the shelter Vet. Where is she? Has anyone seen her at the shelter? That was almost 2 weeks ago. Dr. Halligan (SPCA LA Veterinarian) apparently applied for a premise the same week that the city hired Dr. Eslinger. Who the hell is the Veterinarian at Long Beach and why are we being lied to? This is the real problem. Either Pat West has been "misquoted" in 2 different articles or someone is trying to pull a fast one. It would be easy to find out by calling the Long Beach Shelter and ask to speak to the Veterinarian. If they tell you she is not in, and then ask to leave a voice mail. I bet they will take a written message. A cover up is good for the beach because it hides what is actually underneath it. This cover up is ripped and this makes it easy to see what is really inside.
Yes, accidents happen, but these people should know better! These are so called "trained professionals". But I do not care who the hell you are!... Each of those individuals allowed that animal to suffer. They are all guilty of the same crime.
What a way to die!!!
Most citizens think euthanasia is a nice way to "pass"; being painless for the most part, and peaceful, the animal quietly slips away. But at LBAC, nooooo, they choose to torched their animals before they kill them.-- This is not the only horrible situation that has taken place at this facility; however IT IS PROBABLY THE ONLY HORRIFIC SITUATION YOU HAVE HEARD OF!
That's right, just keep washing the blood off your hands. It might have actually seemed to be working there for awhile. Unfortunately for you, I think you missed a spot! Blood stains people!
I am sorry, but I just think it's a bit odd that LBAC, including a couple of its staff members who testified against NA, are now being investigated for.. hmm... what's that?.... ANIMAL CRUELTY! Negligence? Abuse maybe? Putting not only themselves and the animal in danger, but the public as well.
Oh wow! Isn't that what they supposedly went after Alex and Gloria for?
These are prime examples of the types of activities LBAC was trying to sweep under the rug by eliminating Noah's Ark.
Noah's Ark was a threat to LBAC not only because of their adoption stats, but because NA knew what went on behind the scenes at Long Beach Animal Control.
Quigley tried to "do away with" her witnesses. She did not want the truth to slip out. Well, too late now sweetheart! Looks like to poo you were slipping on at the NA facility was your own!
By promoting Quigley, the city of Long Beach is either getting very desperate, or they have lowered their standards of qualification tremendously!
Poster #113, you are just too funny. Yeah, funny thing, unlike LBAC, we actually work to save our animals, so that does in fact require some money. Unlike the small fee it takes to euth a dog. Again, thanks for your concern about our funding ($$$); although, I haven't seen a donation come in from you yet. Must just be a glitch in the system, right?
Hey, at least we are helping these poor creatures and not slamming them up against the wall watching blood gush out of their nose/eyes like some people.
Silly you!
State law requires that animals be stored in a freezer prior to cremation. Noah's Ark used a cremation service to properly dispose of the dead animals.
The above is only one of many instances where an unwary reader can be duped into thinking an innocent person is guilty. The Press Telegram continued its series of articles, all designed to discredit Noah's Ark.
No one from Noah's Ark was ever accused of tormenting and killing an animal. Not once, not ever. The fleas, matted fur and earmites pale in comparison to the brutality of the actions of Long Beach Animal Control.
Let's not forget about the grossly overgrown toenails found on one Noah's Ark dog. Here is the real story on that one. Noah's Ark rescued a feisty little dog who was very difficult to handle. The dog was filthy, had heavily matted fur and nails so long that they curved around. Rather than subject a highly distressed dog to a bath, shaving and clipping all at the same time, they bathed the dog first and tried to help the dog overcome his fear. The plan was to next shave the mats off the dog and later have the nails trimmed. They were never able to accomplish the last two tasks, because shortly after the dog was brought to Noah's Ark, the shelter was raided by Quigley & Co. Should people really go to prison for that?
There have been numerous posts about Noah's Ark supporters characterizing us as lunatics, fanatics, psychos, etc.
Here is a profile of some of the nut case volunteers: A public school teacher, an accountant, a president of an investment company, a federal attorney, an Iraq war veteran, a writer, students.
Why were the defendants found guilty? Remember please they were found not guilty on most of the charges. A jury is only as good as the evidence they are allowed to hear. Exculpatory evidence was suppressed by Judge Rodriguez. It is in the court transcript.
I don't expect the "rah rahs" of this world to be able to understand that there is a very different side to the story of Noah's Ark than the one reported in the PT , but hopefully other people will take a fresh look at what really happened.
Are innocent people ever found guilty? The answer is a resounding yes. Check out The Innocence Project, study the McMartin Pre-School Case, read The Innocent Man, and perhaps you will see another side of the "justice" system.
Since you seem to be familiar with the case, perhaps you could explain why in Wesley Moore's own words that 3 dogs "died on their own" while in the care of Long Beach Animal Control. They died weeks after they were seized. What happened to them?
Many of the dogs at Noah's Ark were indeed in poor health. Alex took in the dogs and cats that no one-including Long Beach Animal Control--would save. Recovery is a slow process with many ailments, and one could expect to see animals in perfect health. When you go to a nursing home, what do you see? Healthy, robust people? No, sick people. It was the same at Noah's Ark.
At the trial, the prosecution's own witness, Glen (I don't recall his last name) testified he brought dogs with mange to Noah's Ark. This condition can also take a long time to cure, depending on the type of mange.
I am aware of the police report concerning the smell. The officer went to investigate a silent alarm which was activated in a vacant building. The rest has been widely reported and I won't re-hash it here. One has to wonder though, why there were no complaints about the odor from any neighbors in the heavily populated area where Noah's Ark was located. One also has to wonder why the smell was not a factor 10 days prior to the raid when animal control officers visited the facility and did not indicate to the volunteers that there were any problems.
One of the volunteers, the teacher, would bring her 8 year old daughter to the shelter from time to time. She stated in court under oath that she would not sujbect her daughter to unsanitary or unhealthy conditions. I believe her.
I stand firm in my belief that the recent acts of cruelty and neglect at LBAC grossly exceed anything that a reasonable person could attribute to Noah's Ark
.
class action filed? what firm should everyone contact?
how is us ag investigation coming along?
did allred take lbac employees cases?
whats going on with the state attorney general and naar?
what ever happened to animal rights case to be filed years ago?
Why won't you talk to to District Weekly?
Your spelling is improving. Now learn that interrogatives are followed by question marks. We'll take this a step at a time.
If only your time was spent working while being paid to do so none of this would be happening. Instead you choose do do people like this. You all have obviosuly spend so much time not working and drumming things up not handleing business and it's all everyone elses fault. I have spent more time trying to get these nasty things removed that have individuals names on it because it's disgusting. The City is only interested in the "alleged" brutality and negelct not this gossip and personal hatred you have for each other.
Please stop all of it and wait for what ever it is you are waiting for. In the end I hope you get nothing because you all don't deserve it.
I have not posted one name also
First I was drunk. I said I have not targeted or said anything about anyone specific and do not put anything down that I have heard about.
my real name is tonya now what do you have to say
ps I am ron
Christine what hole have you been hiding in?
I don't target anyone
I have a major problem with that should shut up because there is so much dirt on them it is not funny and if need I will pull everything out AND BURY THEM.
First if you are talking to me bite me was not me. I am sitting back and watching and waiting you all play nice.
I will stay out and not bend like steel. Shaking things up is not hard with this crew you are all at each others throats and don't know who is saying what.
P.S. I noticed you said I have not posted on this site so you have posted on others then....
what are you put on there if you are not on leave?
Now you are calling names. I am a coward who starts something and the goes in hiding? I think that the rest of the click need to jump off the ship also with the rest.
I am not saving posts
I have a file of a couple of people that are using this as a personal attack on people that have nothing to do with this
I will stay out and not bend like steel.

"Team effort
As an employee of Mental Health America of Long Beach, whose mission is to improve the quality of life of mentally ill residents in Long Beach, it gives me great motivation just knowing that other agencies in our community are willing to help us.
One of our council members notified our office that a member of our community needed our services. Part of their issue included the care of about 70 cats, which they were housing in their two-bedroom apartment. The Long Beach Animal Control Center found new homes for the animals and instructed the original owners in proper cat care.
As a result, a limited number of cats were reunited with their original owners. Kudos to Lt. Michelle Quigley and her assistant, Susana Delima, who were instrumental in finding a win/win solution.

So are the employees that were hired to do breeding enforcement now her personal assistants???? Long Beach dollars wasted again, get rid of that program for crying out loud, they clearly are using all the resources for other things. Theft of city money....again.
