Exaaaactly.

I happened to be in the room when this interview was conducted and as an avid Beatles fan, the comment did make me cringe a little. However, having gotten to know Greg in the past few months, who by the way happens to be a HUGE fan of the Kombis (see comments above), I know it was tongue in cheek. Of course this quote became the headline because it is controversial, for which I don't blame the writer (got you all to read it, right?)

I also don't think he was saying it for shock value, either. He's not out to change the world, or convince others to even enjoy his music. His only rebelliousness is in refusing to play what other people want him to play if it doesn't fit his mood, which has created many disappointed Black Flag fans during his latest tour.

His 'like it or not' attitude keeps his energy focused on what's important: the music. And that's an admirable quality we should all learn to adopt.

WHAAAAT? Bobby was in a duo with me called The KOMBIs for 5 years...He NEVER played a 45 second solo with me. In fact, I thing the longest solo he ever did was at LEAST 2 minutes...that was because the crowd LOVED to hear him solo almost as much as I did.

I'm a bit confused here Greg or maybe pissed is more accurate...Is this 'Beatles are the third...' comment some ingenious thing that the publicist said to say for shock effect or is this what just rolled out of your mouth at the time? I don't think this is what we'd call putting our best foot forward! Wow, are you just posing or for real? I don't even dig when someone truly 'big' says something like this, and no one is really ever big enough to make a statement like that. You certainly are not! If you wanted a reaction from this, you got one here...and it's not favorable. What a bunch of crap!
