He's already interviewed numerous musicians, staff members, and patrons of The Cellar. Interestingly, many of these people are still hanging out with various friends they met at The Cellar years ago. Going to The Cellar was obviously a lifelong bonding experience! In many cases, the musicians who developed their chops at The Cellar are still playing LIVE music in Ft. Worth and elsewhere on the weekends. The documentary will be entered in film festivals next year. Who knows what will happen next? I was one of the first musicians to play the Cellar starting in early 1959 when Johnny Carroll and I were the only regular musicians for several months. We had sit-ins but we were the regular entertainers. I worked and lived at the Cellar for the first two years back when it was a wild party place before it became a blues club. I am possibly the only one still alive that was there then. If anyone is interested my contact info is below.
