CITY TREE POLICY GETS SENT TO COMMITTEE
Appears Illinois is just rampant with corruption, they never get a break...no surprise
Rod Blagojevich isn't the first dirty politician to come from the city that gave us the Lager Beer Riots, Al Capone, "Vote early and vote often", institutionally corrupt cops, the Black Sox scandal, and the Daley’s...he is merely the latest dirty Chicago politician to get caught.
I doubt Lincoln cares very much for or about Chicago, being now well above and beyond such earthly concerns. But if he is, indeed, rolling over in his grave, I imagine that it's due to the lackadaisical attitudes toward good and responsible citizenship that have become prevalent, not just in Chicago, but throughout this great nation that he once helped us to preserve.
I don't consider the 8 cheating players that were ultimately dubbed the "black sox" to be members of the White Sox.
The moment they chose to betray their team mates, their fans and the game, they abdicated their right to be called White Sox.
